In other news, exams coming up! I have my juunihitoe exam as mae-emonja next week, okata the week after and ushiro-emonja the week after that.

I've had to hand in some of my calligraphy (do you guys want to see?) and I think that's being marked.

As for Japanese, I don't know- we do weekly tests, so...

Last night I had the tastiest Big Bacon Classic burger from Wendies. Man, that was good. They'd accidentally burnt some of the bacon and it was so crispy and wonderful *____*

I don't know if I mentioned the cute combini boy who always works late nights/early mornings at the Lawson on the corner before, but his name is Konishi Chikara, and we're going out to play with fireworks together tonight. Heehee!

The countdown til Spinwake's last live with UK on the 28th has begun in my mind now... It'll be sad but should be good fun, and maybe I can find out what's going on with him. Silly boys. There's a meeting of THE ASSOCIATION OF CORN next thursday too (26th) which will be good fun. I intend to drag Stephen along cus he knows loads of ghost stories and Corn will love him. blackcatphobia, you up for it too? I'm pretty sure it'd be OK seeming as we went to FUJI JUKAI n'all (That, and Eisuke likes thinking he has lots of friends ^^;).

I'm not sure what else is worth saying really. I have a job as eikaiwa staff with the most irritating man in the world every friday from 5-9pm, and I teach a really sweet housewife in Hachimanyama every monday from 3.30-5pm. Her husband is like... the most uber-rich person I have ever met. They took me out for a meal last week where I tried eel for the first time. Surprisingly, it was really, really nice. Soft and non-fishy.

Oh, and my mum broke into my dad's house and stole the parrot. How I wish I were joking!

Today I am hurting. I can't really explain why, I just hurt. My family is such a mess, I'm not really enjoying the university here (cultural classes are cool though) and I just feel desperately lonely.

I miss my Alan, I miss my gays, and my Daryl. Come visit me in Tokyo you gaymosexuals! I need to go out dancing somewhere utterly fabulous.

In other news, I ate a whole lettuce today!

Maybe, just maybe, my boy luck is changing...

I think I'm just about over The Bastard Boy now, I think. I've been here for weeks and haven't felt the urge to meet up with him despite that stupid heart animation he put in his mail- juuust like last time. I think now... I'm more angry with him than in wuv or whatever. Argh.

Haido2 has a girlfriend, but you know what? That's fine. Just hanging out with him and the guys is more fun anyway, I think... on our trip to 富士樹海 we had such a good time (though it wasn't exactly scary, just... odd.) It's easier this way anyway, right? Next month I'm doing a kinda "live-talk" event with him and the guys, and they'll show the video we took on our trip. I'm looking forward to it!

However. Yesterday.
I went out with UK of Spinwake fame. He called me up the day after Hol left for England, and we talked on the phone for ages- he asked when we could meet n stuff and we agreed on yesterday. He's grown his hair long... it's so cute!! It's true that he's leaving Spinwake- but he's going to start doing solo lives. First up we went to a Livehouse to meet with some of his friends who inevitably asked if I was his girlfriend... and he went BRIGHT RED and started laughing nervously XD Then, after the live we went to Amataro and got reasonably drunk, having a really great time just talking about all kinds of things. He kept asking things like "What's your type of guy??" and "What's the most important thing you look for in a relationship"... maybe he's interested????? Hehe, he asked me to call him Yuuchan. ^^;;; Oh, and he kept reminding me that he hasn't got a girlfriend. Why? Because apparently, no-one likes him?!

Even more than that, he told me his friends are in a band looking for a female vocalist as their last one just left, and would I be interested?? I dunno. I mean, I like karaoke when I'm not feeling like a worthless wretch and there are times I think my voice is OK, but being in a band? (especially as female vocals annoy me a bit!) Hmm. It would be an amazing experience. UK's going to give me their CD, and then they'd like to meet me at the studio. In any case, he said we could do a live together. O_o

So, interesting times. The uni kinda sucks though. Bleh

Can't be on for long because I'm at a net cafe. No internet connection at my apartment yet, but I do have an email address for my phone.

You can send me email to my phone, but I'm not sure if I can recieve pictures. Anyway, I hope to get an internet connection for my apartment soon so I can put up pictures of it! It's small but nice, and I even got some appliances and bedding so it's not been too expensive to set up. (I was the first student to arrive so I got things the last lot left behind- including a microwave with oven setting, a rice cooker, a TV with built in VCR, a bicycle...!!)

Hello everyone!
I have safely arrived in Tokyo and am currently settling into the hotel here in Jimbocho where I'll be staying til the 19th (when I move into my flat, hurray!)

It was an uneventful flight for the most part and didn't feel like a long flight particularly. That's probably because we got upgraded to World Traveller PLUS seats. Those things are quite nice, with about 7'' extra leg room. Still didn't manage to sleep. I guess I need to be entirely horizontal or something, whatever ><; At least the movies were OK.

I sent my luggage ahead (it's a flat rate of 1,600Y per item to central Tokyo) to the hotel so managing the trains was lovely and easy too. Feeling pretty tired so I'll end it there but thanks to everyone who wished me an easy flight and I'll do my best to keep everyone updated!

In other news I had the oddest dream about meeting Steve Wilson from Porcupine Tree and showing him some of the things I've drawn while listening to Deadwing. Hmm.
Next update will probably be a "OHMYGODI'MGOING" but the one after next should be from Japan!

I'm sitting on a bench in Fleet Highstreet, nicking someone's wireless connection like the pikey I am. I have two days left in this country, and I'm pretty much sorted, now. I got my OXO cubes and everything, my currency should arrive tomorrow, and I've still got 2kg free in my case just to be safe. Now all I need is for a sexy 30yr younger Alan Rickman to sweep me off my feet and buy me things. Or whatever.
Ahh, it's so sunny and warm, and I'm glad i get to see this part of England on this kind of a day before I go. I almost wish I had my camera, but even if I did I probably wouldn't use it. It's nothing special, but it's nice.

shinysilvercoin came to visit and stayed over on monday, and now she's gone it's really hit me that I'm going for another year. I think I'll miss England a little more this time, now that I've had a year here well and truly out of depression and yuck, being happy, independent and stuff. I'm really glad I went to Uni and met everyone there.
